I love entertaining at home because home is where you gather around a meal prepared with love by those you love and the peace you feel when surrounded by a collection of hand-picked treasures from family collections or flea market finds. Home is a place where family and friends create memories and inspire ones journey through life. I’ve been entertaining for over 35 years and with that, I have developed some tips and a style that will save you time, money and encourage you to pull out those tucked away linens, dishes and serving pieces and use them for their purpose. With a few easy tips of pre-planning and preparation you will be well on your way to creating your own style of entertaining. After owning a tea room where I prepared homemade soups, salads, desserts and comfort foods, I hosted a Christmas Tea in my home for 15 years. This was my way of saying thank you to my dear mother and the many patrons who supported my business. The Tea Party was my ultimate soiree during the holiday season and helped me to develop a few tips that make entertaining easy as pie.
